If you want to get rid of Coffeegrinder, yes, you have to start all over again. But it is possible to continue using it, also in RSD2.

Are there any real advantages in upgrading to 2.0 if I am sticking with Coffeegrinder?

Can I open the project in 1.5 if I added some content using 2.0?

Version 2 is more developed than 1.5. You will have the possibility to save components you create to a component library. You will, however, not be able to use the already built-in components, as they are for either Foundation or Bootstrap.

There are also a whole lot more possibilities, especially how to present images, in RED2. As far as I have noticed, various unstabilities from 1.5 have also been fixed. And Version 1.5 has a max page limit which is lower than in version 2.

Version 1.5 is not 'forwards compatible', meaning that if you make changes to a file in verion 2, you risk corrupting your file if you try opening it in V1.5 afterwards

For your blog did you install wordpress inside a folder to essentially create a subsite (sort of)?

Thank you both for the long winded messages. I appreciate it and the time it took. I know what BS and Foundation are and I am using the RSD V2 and my site is well should be using the BS and Foundation and not CoffeeGrinder. And I think that is what you are both telling me in different words.

That is what I am under the impression. Either way I am working on the menu and will fix it. So far for what it is and the time RSD is a great place to start.

Marty,

In short, I know you said that you are using RSD 2. That's fine, but somehow your site was developed on Coffeegrinder. I do suggest that you recreate the site in either Foundation or Bootstrap. You will have much more versatility now and in the future.

I have helped a number of people do site conversions, and I should be able to help with the drop-menu. Give me a call during the day. We can discuss your project, and you can determine the best path to take. My contact information is below.

Did you know that Web Form Builder can be used for both simple and complicated forms and that it's not limited to the default fonts and buttons? Take a look at a form we developed for WindowTinting.com.
