I have a site that has quite a few equipment manuals that were designed to open when clicked. They will not open in a browser (chrome, explorer, edge etc). When I attempt to open it also gives me the option to open in adobe acrobat. Acrobat opens and then tells me it can not open the file. I tested the pdfs before uploading and they seem to open fine.
Anybody have any ideas? This site is hosted by my client (Bluehost) and I'm not super familiar with them but this seems pretty straight ahead.

Byron why not put the pdf's into RSD then point the trigger to the particular ones,, I have done that many times for clients, some with even more than there is on your site,, always they open with no problem
create a folder in your resources (call it "pdf" then you cab create sub folders within that if you want, then upload the pdf to the pdf folder. BOOM there they are. Then it's a simple matter of exporting the project file & ftp in the normal way.
Sure it's a fair bit of work, but is easier than messing about trying this trying that
Just a thought

In the words of the late Blue Peter presenter John Noaks here is one I made earlier
http://rsd-tutorialscom.coffeecup.com/index.html
only 3 but only took 5 minutes & it uses the default pdf viewer of the people browsing (if they have one) same as Adrian's way

That is what I did. Can't understand why they will not open. Eric tried ftp ASCII but didn't make any difference. I believe that is what Adrian was talking about also. I have done this before but its not working this time
