Using two copies of RSD on different...

Hi, I've taken advantage of the 3 PC licence to install RSD on both of my PCs as one one of them is more accessible at night. I saved my project file and copied over to the new PC - opened no problem etc - made quite a lot of changes, but when I try to open the file now in the original copy of RSD the changes are not to be seen. I've changed the filename, it shows as slightly different file size etc - and opens up still on the second machine ok - with the changes I saged.

Not sure where I am going wrong - could this be anything to do with perhaps having two different updates?

Hey Alex,

How are you opening the file? Are you using the File > Open Recent? If so, this will not be opening the updated version of the file. You would need to go to File > Open and navigate to the newly updated file. Also, remember to transfer the updated copy of the file to the original computer you were working with.

HI Adam,

Thanks for the reply - I've already followed the steps above - also changed the filename completely - registering slightly different file size too - which would indicate my changes.

Since the post I've added a few elements as well to see if these changes are registered at least.

Seems it's saving the html information but anything which would be written to css it seems not to have changed ( background color on grid / curve on one of the columns )

It doesn't actually seem to have saved the fact I changed the source of one image as well.

I'm in the middle of cooking but going to play around a bit see what else happens but thought it could be a bug which has aleady been brought up ( or more likely something i've done - only been using for a week or two )

Can you attach both projects? I think I may know what the issue is... You may be working in a breakpoint. (If the file sizes are to large, zip them up and upload to your server or something such as DropBox.)

By working in a breakpoint.. is this say if i had a breakpoint which was behind the dialog boxes ?

Could you perhaps explain briefly so I have better idea pls

Not got access to both pc's yet.

Yes, a breakpoint that is hiding behind the right pane. My guess is, the computer you edited on was smaller in screen size then your current one. Which means your changes are still there, just not in the same breakpoint. Can you preview the site and resize your browser to see if the correct styles show on the page?

ok so I know what is causing it - but for some reason I can not delete 1 final breakpoint - I know I can do this by editing the final css but it's still annoying - as my screen is limited to 1920 and for some reason i've managed to add a breakpoint after that... I've attempted to follow the advice on promt - by moving the app to the left and dragging to resize to the right but it only allows me to do so to a limited amount.

Think a very useful addition to any future updates would be the ability to hide the toolbars on the right completely - I'll keep playing - assume i may be able to delete it using the - +breakpoint buttons but so far no good.. it only means it's affected in very large resolution screen but still got me baffled :)
