Using third party templates and...
Three questions please:
First of all appreciate the effort it takes to respond. I am pretty sure I scoured the documentation without finding these answers. Thank you.
1.Want to import Bootstrap templates from another program. SD only (as far as I can tell) recognises its natove file format.
2. Realize I can see the code if I save the project as html and then open it in text editor. But I want to add code (like ads) when making pages, so would like to be able to see results earlier.
3. Did I just miss it, or is there a way to make a "Template" that can be used so you just add text and when you change the format on one template, it changes on all the pages associated with it.
Thanks to all who help.

You cannot import 3rd party templates into Site Designer. I mean, if you put everything into a 'html element' you can display the pages in SD, but you can't then change anything using SD. You need to start from scratch, I'm afraid.
Site Designer has templates that you can download, and you can change more or less everything. You can also add your own css files that can override the original ones. I would not recommend actually changing the original css files, unless you know exactly what you are doing. You can also create your own design and save it as a template to be reused.
You can save chunks of code, typically header, footer, navigation, to be reused. If you make them into something called a 'symbol' you can insert them on every page, and then if you need to change something, you change one instance of a 'symbol', and all the rest will also be updated.
I hope this helps.

The following references to the Guide may be helpful in connection with Inger's answer.
The instructions about Symbols are at https://tutorials.coffeecup.com/site-de … ml#symbols
There are details about HTML elements (selected towards the bottom of the Elements pane) at https://tutorials.coffeecup.com/site-de … ml-element
It is worth getting familiar with the Page Manager. It gives one access to the Header, Footer and various other page items by clicking on the Pages button at the top and selecting Manage Project from the drop-down menu that appears. Details are at https://tutorials.coffeecup.com/site-de … nager.html

Thanks, Inger. It sounds like I am asking for something that SD was not designed to do. I will follow your comments and see if that works for me. Thanks Mike.
Thank you Frank. I am looking at the tutorials now. This is closer to what I want to do.
I will try to add the affiliate links and see how that works too.
Thanks. Mike.
