"Start a new project" is not exactly a good answer.
Not when you have put many hours into existing projects.

Again, nothing changes with existing projects Deb. Just open them in v2.

It's a tad difficult to create a special help file for every possible issue and for any level of experience with the programme. The learning process has to be started somewhere and somehow, and that is what that manual is for, basics first.
New users are actually recommended to start with a straight-forward project. At some stage they will know how to do the advanced stuff. As far as I can judge from the projects you have in mind, they are not actually beginners' level.

If there is something specific you are struggling with, describe it here, and we may be able to help.

Thanks for the replies.
I have over 30 years of experience with web design, including php, asp, js, jquery, etc.
But I have always mostly hand-coded, so the limitations of a product like this slow me down quite a bit.
I thought I would give it a try, hoping that it would speed up responsive layouts.

So, regarding the question above - the response above was:
"Start a new project based on Foundation or Bootstrap and you will find the components to choose from."

Of course I see that you can open projects created in V1 with V2, but when you do, you do not have the new components that are provided with V2.

That is correct. Because Coffeegrinder has no pre-built components. You would have to create your own. If you create a new project based on Foundation or Bootstrap, you have a plethora of them to choose from. So while there are no pre-built ones, you can easily create your own and start building your own components library for Coffeegrinder based designs.

This is one of the reasons why we are pushing Foundation and Bootstrap as they have a very robust framework with all sorts of predefined classes.

WOW! Did you start at the times of the ARPA net then? According to what I've heard, the first ever website was created in 1991 by the inventor of the www.

Hah, well, I did not count the years.
Let's just say it has been a very, very long time.

I too went looking for the components, which there aren't as many as indicated. i have done a screen shot of the
components that Foundation and Bootstrap hold, but that's all I see.

The pre-built 'modals', navigations, dropdowns, alerts' etc aren't there either. The impression is that these are inbuilt. From this forum i now presume that that is what we 'CAN create if we want to' and assuming one starts using Bootstrap and Foundation to create them.

I'm currently going through the 'new' RSD guide but still finding old screen shots which makes it confusing as the earlier RSD versions have had significant changes for example, properties [which is not even in the new version].

Also just wondering how long the CSS will stay as 'Read only'?
