I'm finally getting time to tinker with RSD again and when I opened it today it prompted me to download the latest update. So I did that before doing anything else and now I'm working with V2.5, Build 2362.
I only have 2 rows of wireframe with a few elements in some columns - just trying to follow along with some tutorials and get to know the software. And periodically the workspace area will freeze up. I think it happens after I perform some "undo's" or move the slider back & forth too much. Not positive yet what is causing it.
Everything in the RSD toolbar works and the Menu Bar (File, Edit, Etc.) still works. I can go to Actions & switch between the Layout, Content, Design, Etc. panels, but can't do anything IN these panels since everything below the Menu Bar (where light gray turns to dark gray on the UI) seems frozen.
I simply close it & reopen or I go to File, Revert to Saved Project, and then it's fine.
My story is like Uncle Ronn (above) in that none of my saves seem to be corrupted. I'm using Win 7. I get no error messages..... workspace area simply doesn't respond to any input. Not sure I want to open a support ticket since it's not hurting any of my work yet - it's just a time-draining annoyance. And since I have no real "work" done yet anyway, I'm not sure attaching my file would help...and I'm not sure how my file could show a freeze. There is something that triggers the crash - too many undo's, stressing out the slider, .....something, and I think one of us just has to "catch it" to know what it is so we can tell CC. And it could be that parts of old versions are being left when I download a new version or build; that I need to completely delete RSD before downloading an update? Or Win 7 is the cause? I don't know; I just wanted to mention that a year after Uncle Ronn reported this problem, I am also having it.
Other than that, I'm loving this software!
