I purchased the RSD suite and read through a lot of the tutorials and documents. I also played around with different themes and templates in RSD in order to get a feel for the software. I am getting into webdesign after a 6 years break and have to say, this software is very impressive!
Now there are a few questions I would like to be more clear about before getting into designing my new website.
- I can see the point why mobile first would be the logical approach in terms of making content available on small screens and then expand the design from there, but don't you start off with a concept of how it will look on a big screen first in order to decide about backgrounds, main design elements etc.?
All tutorials I have seen so far use the desktop first approach. Are there tutorials for RSD available that use mobile first? - Which grid should I go with? Obviously that is much a matter of personal taste, but in terms of ease of use, future development etc. which grid is currently the top seller?
- Is there a reference document about the foundation classes that are incorporated in RSD?
- Is it a good idea to start a design with one of the themes and change elements to a personal liking but maybe lateron get into trouble due to incongruencies of class names etc., or is it a better idea to start from scratch?
Thanks and regards
