How would I keep my whole sight not to become wider than say 1024px. My intended sight does not suit or look good stretching out too wide. Is it 'max page width'. Where do I apply this (1024px)

Hi Terry,
There's a max-width that you can set on the grid.

I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.
This is a site I built for my work.(RSD)

This is my personal site used for testing and as an easy way to share photos.(RLM imported to RSD)

Haven't found the max width on the grid as yet. I will keep trying to find it
My website (I did years ago and have maintained, is www.printplus.co.za. Maybe its a bit of an outdated design but at 800 pixels wide it seems to fit nicely. I could go to 1024 Maximum. I have a line/border around the whole page. I would like to do this again. I like the "tea" program on the site but not the "coast road" if these are 2 sites you are aware of. Tea must be a difficult site to make? Replicating my present site may be the way to go. I am doing this for Responsive requirements to maintain my page level on google.

Terrybull, When you open up the RSD it default with no projects opened, it has the two rows and the 5 columns showing with the sideways diagonal grey lines indicating the grid. I think it opens default to the layout pane. Go two over to the design pane and click on that. Type Grid will be at the top look on down to Max- width, it should be 1200 but the none is checked so there is really no max width. If you want the max width to be 800 then uncheck none and put the 800 in the max width setting box. Then look on down on the grid design pane to border heading and open that up and put in your border.
After you start adding elements to your design and do a visual look or preview of it these things should then be incorporated into your design.

Please advise how to download the latest version of RSD. I purchased 7 Sept. and still have ver 1.2 Thanks
Hi Terry
v1.2 is still the official version to use. There is a v1.5 (beta) with links on this forum page where you can download. It is very similar to 1.2 in how it works and will not make your life any easier.
From your question I gather that you have not used RSD extensively. If you need help with the program, or maybe even to re-do your website, feel free to ask. (I am on the other side of the mountain from you - Durbanville)

Hi Faure, You are in SA!! Great. I am in Bergvliet. I noticeded there were frames or outlines of, on the newer version. I thought this would help me.
I am just restarting to use RSD. I tried for a while but replies were taking so long to come back due to time zones. I am trying to rebuild only because I was warned by 'google' that my being seen on Google would become less unless I went 'responsive'. I gave up and went back to Dreamweaver but to 'fluid grids'. VERY complicated to get them right. So I thought I would give RSD another go. What I have built up just today is definitely making me feel I can do it in RSD with 'a little help' of course. I will attach what I have done today. My big puzzle here is how to get the "ad" Quality printing up into the top corner as it is on my present site. www.printplus.co.za. Next I will tackle the menu. I have a repeat in there but I feel I will get this right with some effort. I will be very interested in your reply. Regards Terry
