srcset, responsive imagery - oh my?

So I did a quick scan of prior threads with nothing catching my eye, so I'll ask-
Where is RSD at wrt responsive imagery? Looking at themes has not shown me any obvious examples of swapping out diff images at breakpoints, etc., although I certainly could have missed it.

Amongst other things there's a srcset attribute now - in the wild with Chrome and close to wildness with FF.

Is CC embracing the utility and speediness (and efficiency) potential of serving up a responsive site capable of dealing with responsive images?
I had my responsive image hacks in the old days, but I would love to embrace a newer faster better way. Which is why I upgraded to RSD in the first place :) Take me to the promised land CC!

Yes, Responsive Site Designer does have the picture element (http://www.coffeecup.com/designer#responsive_images) which allows you to serve up different images depending on screen width

I think we use this in 1 or 2 themes as well, but since the images in our themes are generally replaced we did not go overboard here. Will make sure this is highlighted in one of the next theme iterations though :P
