Is there a tutorial that explains and demonstrates how to construct - Container row type - container subgrid - container row type etc. I'm having trouble getting containers within containers. seems to want to add them below the existing container.

Thanks

Ok - may have answered my own dumb question at least on container within container. Is there a way to delete a question in the forums after its up?

Go to the inspector panel select the container that you want to move up into the container
Hold down the cntr key (or whatever equivalent on a Mac) and USE the up arrow on the keyboard to move the selected container upwards until it is within the container you want it nested in

I think you can change one of your own posts within some minutes after having posted it. If it is too late, you have to buy one of us moderators a beer and ask us 'pretty please...'

BTW, a little earlier I deleted a post of yours, one that you had posted twice...

Wayan - Thank you for telling us how to move items within the inspector panel. I've been having lots of fun with it. :-)

I see how to adjust the container width but how to get them to change position? In the smallest level stacked but the next break I would like them side by side with a gap. Float and Clear makes it move around but I can't get it on the same row.

Thanks

Byron, are you talking about the table mockups that Wayan and I did some days ago? Or has your question to do with moving elements in the elements tree, as this thread is about?

try flexing the outer container (probably type=row) to flex= row=no wrap at the breakpoint you want the other two containers to be side by side then set the containers to a % value below 50% and L&R margins to auto depending on how wide a gap you require

Wayan

Thought it was kind of an extension of the conversation. I have those settings on but it doesn't change. Hoping for a light bulb moment when this program makes sense but not getting there yet.
