So I got tired of using VSD back in the day and have since moved on to using WIX, I know tons of people hate on it, but I have had more success with using WIX than anything else thus far even for how small our industry is. Anyways, does this new program that I have never used, that looks MUCH like WIX but with far less features(just from the looks of things)have anything that WIX doesn't provide?

Only drawback with WIX is the pages URLs, but Google still finds each page when the keywords are entered.

Anyways, I just want to see if it's worth giving CC a try again.

Cheers!

also, if you want to check out my site I made with WIX it's flsi.us

The WIX site does not appear to be fully responsive. In other words, it does not adjust to smaller screen sizes correctly. On smaller devices it is apparently shrinking to fit the screen size? At that rate you can not read the words nor see the photos very well. I was looking at it on 2 different emulators and it either shrinks or you have to do horizontal scrolling. Neither of those scenarios is good, and Google will penalize your site in the search engines.

And that's the whole point of RLM and RSD with responsive design. Your finished site should look good on ALL screen sizes or devices. That is what these programs help you to do.

As an example view your site on Responsinator. . .

When I looked at the site, there was a large blank area under the menu, same in Responsinator. It took a long time for the images to load. :(
I think it would be well worth giving RSD a try. Fixed-width sites don't cut it anymore with so many people using their phones and pads for browsing.

But RSD has a learning curve. Wix is drag and drop. RSD takes a bit more, but produces a much better site and a much better user experience! Be prepared to read and learn. Lots of help here in the forums!

Number One issue: your site is not responsive.

Number Two: Too much of blank space

Number Three : If you put an effort to learn Layout Maker and Site Designer, Each page of your site can be made with RSD less than a 10 minutes at least for me :)

Note For drop down Navigation you will need Menu Builder ( separate application ) and same goes to your site's form you will need Form Builder.
Guys at coffeecup are awesometacular.

Michael,

Thank you for posting the link to the Responsinator. What an great way to view your website on all the different screens. Didn't even know something like that existed. Thanks again for sharing.

The tablet/phone viewing is actually my fault as I never checked my mobile viewing capability. It's checked now, and I'm just going through pages to make them appear better and more organized and laid out properly.

Is there a trial version for RSD?

I appreciate everyones input thus far! :)

And the pre-release offer ends on Tuesday and no more invites will be offered until the official public release. If you want it, now is the time... ;)
