Set Language To English For Version...

Hello,
I just downloaded a trial version of the software so hopefully this isn't too stupid. I can't find out where I can turn off the Japanese, Korean, Chinese, or what ever country they are from, characters on all of the buttons. Where is the setting for being able to see/read them in English? If I hover over some of them, they will be readable in English, but I'd like to be able to see them that way all the time.

Thanks,

Noob

Welcome to the forums noob. ;)

All of our software only comes in the English language. What you are describing sounds like a bad install and the icons that we use for the buttons are missing. I would recommend you uninstall the software, reboot and then re-install the software again.

That should fix you up but if you still have issues, open a support ticket, and we can try a few other things out.

Hello Scott,
No joy. :(
I tried it twice, a third time as my administrator user, and then downloaded it again and tried that.
I have attached a Snipping Tool grab of what the buttons look like.

I'll poke around and see how to open a support ticket.

Thanks,

Steven

What you see there is the result of a bad installation as the icons we use were not installed. Please open a support ticket, and we can try a few other things out.

Just an update to any parties interested. The issue with these characters appearing was the result of a strict security setting within Windows under the Group Policy Editor where it was blocking some fonts that RSD uses. The fix was to add an exception to the Windows Registry.

We will be monitoring this issue carefully, and if others report a similar problem, we will look into ways to address the particular security restriction.

Thanks Steven for sharing your findings.
