I can easily put YouTube videos on my website using RSD, but if i try to run a video from a video link on my server nothing happens. Do I have to manually code the video, or how does that work?

Hi larry,
You'll need some kind of script to help you out.
I've used this one.

I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

Thanks. You might want to develop a tutorial for inserting videos in RSD?

I would first say, I highly suggest you don't do it that way. Not all browsers and devices support the <video> tag. Also, your videos have to be correctly encoded if are going to use that tag. In addition, your video will not be responsive (unless you use some wrapper). That is why using video services are so handy as they are universally supported and responsive.

If you still want to do it yourself, you need to use the HTML element and then write the necessary markup and include your videos under the Resources.

You can learn more on the <video> tag here:
