RSD File re-set with system restore -...

Hi everyone,

I was working in RSD with existing pages and creating a new page all the while saving the work. Then I switched projects and later came back to the first project.
Late this afternoon, I had to do a system restore (unrelated to RSD). System is Windows 7.
When I opened RSD file again, today's changes and the newly created pages were not there. Looking at the rsd file properties, I noticed that the last modified date was before the date which the system was restored too.

I'm wondering if there is any work around this issue?

Kind regards,
Anne

Well that is no fun way to spend your day. ;)

Unfortunately, Ann, there is no way to restore content that is no longer inside a file. If the content is missing, you will have to re-add it back again manually.

Hopefully, you have a backup of the project file in some location that you can restore from. I would also check to make sure you do not have two copies of the same project file and are opening the most recent version.

Hi Scott,

Fortunately, I have backups from the previous day.

It is very strange that the system restore process removed today's data from the rsd file. Other work done today in OpenOffice, Photoshop and Frontpage remained intact.

Good to remember to do an external backup of RSD before doing a System Restore.

Kind regards,
Anne
