If I install the new RSD v.2 (beta), will it over write and remove the current version of RSD 1.5 from my hard drive or will it live politely on my computer side by side with RSD 1.5?

It will remove the previous version. Having multiple versions installed can lead to problems....

I downloaded and installed RSD V2. By default it installed to a different directory than V1.5. Both are now functional on my computer. Should I be concerned with issues that may arise in the future?

The only thing to watch there is do not open projects created in 2.0 with 1.5.
