Reusable menu

I created a menu with menubuilder and placed the html code in my header.
The header is saved as a symbol in RSD 2.0. I would expect, when I update the html code (new/changed menu) that the code would be changed on each page which uses the symbol, but it seems it isn't. Is the html not a part of the reusable symbol? What to do?

Hi Linda,

After you created the symbol did you delete all the menus from your other page and readd using the +symbol you just created.

Yes, I did. But thereafter changed the HTML, I think it should than be changed on all pages which use the symbol. I hope I don't have to delete and + them again on all my pages. With the symbol it already show me it is used on all my pages.

Um no. you may want to open a support ticket and attach your rsd file. It works for me so there may be something wrong with your project.

I think I have found the solution: if I give the html code a class like html-menu and do this on all pages it seems to change, of there is no class name, it doesn't.

Even better, I only have to add the class name on one page and of course all pages inherit the class name and the html code is changed, perfect. This is why I have rebuild my project in RSD 2.0 as a clean project.

This is probably related to those other issues you had which we had to repair your project due to the 970,216,181 HTML elements on your index page. ;)

We are looking into what caused the problem and are going to see if there is a fix we can implement.

Great to hear Linda. Yea I never even thought about the class name. Its such a habit for me to class everything it didn't dawn on me.
