Reserved file name in Resources?

Dear all,
Here's one that is flummoxing me:
I have a basic project (just started to develop) so nothing in it beyond some header text and I wish to add a file to the RESOURCES area. I click on the file name I want to add but RSD is coming up with a warning box saying that "the resource name is already in use or is reserved, please choose a different one" and lists the full path to the file. I have tried renaming the file but to no avail. Any clues, as the file name/path is nothing special that I can see? Are there any reserved names that cannot be used? If so, is there a list somewhere?

I have never seen any such list. Where in the Resources area are you trying to put the file? As far as I know, there are certain file types that cannot go into the Resources 'root', you need to add a folder to put into.
And be advised that you cannot add .php files to an SD project, nor upload them to the s-drive. If you need to have .php files, you have to upload them separately to your server and list the path accordingly.
Ha en riktig god dag!

Is it a php file? If so name it myfilename.php.html. This will allow you to add it to your resources. Remove the .html from the end after upload. This will not work on S-Drive.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

No - not a php file, it actually is a simple .html file.
I'll try the 'add to non-root directory' approach and see if that does the business.

Are you really using Site Designer? or a different App?

Site Designer is an app that creates it's own HTML webpages, that's why it's a reserved file name,

If it's really Site Designer, you cannot put an HTML file directly into the resources, you have to create a folder call it anything you like then you can bring an HTML file into that folder

the question now being begged is WHY? are you wishing to put an HTML element directly into your root? what is it you think you want to do with it?

As another way, if you are wishing to show the HTML file on your site as a page or part of a page, you could go to the elements tab from there insert a container wherever you want to place it on a page, then in that container, you insert the "HTML Element" container from the same Containers list.

With the "HTML Element" container still selected move on over to the "ELEMENT TAB"
There you will see a section "enter the head code for this element"
That's where you would paste your code from your file. (note that if there is any styling to the content of this then you also need to paste any CSS any JS etc requires can be pasted into the section below "enter the footer code for this element".
