Hello all,

Working on adding a HTML Element to a page, what I want is for our Trust Wave Validation banner to be added, it goes to a url to show "trustkeeper.net/compliance/seal" . I was able to add the html script to one of the columns and it does show " Live Preview Not Available for this" When I add it to a top row under our logo it DOES show when I go to a Preview On ie" IE-11 or FF or Chrome BUT all on the page under it does NOT show PLUS the "seal" goes to the Right and not the Center? :(
I then tried adding before the footer and then the footer with the copyright info etc does not show. If I add it under the footer the whole page does show BUT again the "seal" still is only to the Right. What am I doing wrong? Do I add the HTML script in the footer only ? For now I wil keep it off until I see if someone can help .

As always I thank ALL for helping this Newbie

Hello Oliver,
Thanks for replying, no it is not online as if i did it would not show the page the way it should. I did all the previewing in RSD and when it did NOTshow correct I did not want to mess up the page that is okay. I will try again tomorrow maybe as a Newbie  I added it wrong.called

Hiya Ray,

It's always a good idea to create a test directory somewhere on your domain so you can upload your site to test things before you put them live.

I only mention this because there have been many times that something doesn't look quite right yet when viewed online it's the way it should be, or on the other hand sometimes things look perfect in the builder, but when I view online something is skewed.

For these reasons it's a good idea to test your site in a few different browsers before you put it live.

Good morning Jo,
Thanks for the info, :) one thing I did learn as a Newbie using RSD is to test test test and then test again after so many years with our site online as a Static site it is taking me time to learn and redo our site to be "Responsive" It is slow progress but so far we did get 28 pages done may not be as good as what so many of you all do but so far we are pleased.

I do use the S drive for testing before I upload to our server, after I do a page in RSD (love the program) I use Preview and than also use PreView on IE, FF and Chrome which I think shows how it should actually look? Adding this HTML element is something that I keep trying to figure out, spent the past hour on it and am able to get it to work BUT as I mentioned it does not center and all that is below the script is not showing, oh well in time and with practice I should get it. When we had Static site all I had to do was add the script in the table and it has been there for years with no problem I guess it is different in RSD.
Thanks again,
Ray ( Newbie learning everyday!)

I have a test use domain name that I put various mockups to show clients and to test designs against various browsers, tablets, and smart phones.

If you have the luxury of having hosting that includes cpanel and control over your DNS - you may find this to be convenient. I create sub-domains as needed and can host (at least in theory) 100's of 'test sites' on an as needed basis. Examples in action: 123.usq.me is a mockup of a login page to show a client. Another mockup is on dbtest.usq.me - and a 3rd one is on accrm.usq.me

I create the sub-domain in CPanel then in my case, since I use GoDaddy Premium DNS services, I have to go into GoDaddy and edit the zone file to add the new sub-domain, but that's fairly simple. I simply add a line in the A record section where the first column is the sub-domain name (for example) 123 and for the second column I simply use the @ symbol which basically means ditto - hosting is on same IP as the main domain name (usq.me).

As an aside - I nailed down a convenient short, easy to type domain name the hard way, manually ... I went with a relatively obscure top level domain (.me) and started out usa, usb, usc - when I got to usq - GoDaddy informed me that the domain name was available, so I bought it! :) When a client is thumb typing the URL into his or her phone - brevity is next to Godliness.
