In first row in RSD I insert container. This is full with. Then as a background I insert a picture so it extends from side to side completely. (example 1)

Next I want to insert a rectangular solid black box to be centered vertically and horizontally on the background. On the rectangle I want to type the title of the page. (example 2)

Something doesn't seem right. I can get the background fine, I can insert the black rectangle. Haven't figured out how to get text to overlay the black rectangle.

And, when I preview no background appears and neither does the black rectangle. Just the grey placeholder for a picturer and it is located on the far left. See pics:

Maybe I am going about it completely wrong.

Hi, it would be best if you could post your project .rsd file for us to see. Zip it up and post it here.

You need take the slider to the right of the top breakpoint (1280 px) and re-do the styling etc.

I have made a short video showing an alternative way to do what you want to achieve if it will help have a look.

Thanks so much. Instead of adding a background to the container I was adding just a black picture and then trying to add text over it. Your great video explained everything. Thank you again.
