Old CC software compatibility...

13 or 14 years ago and possibly longer I bought the super pack that had like 30 applications, if I remember accurately. Among them around the time that visual site designer was new was a program called Coffee cup Live Chat. This may have come out during the windows op systems before windows 7 or even before windows 8. Will I be able to use this with site designer and windows 11? I never used it before at all and most or a vast majority of the CC apps I have purchased I have never ever used at all. This is why I am so very hesitant to buy the new releases having bought mostly apps that have never ever even been used. Another irritating thing was when an app was bought and then later consolidated into site designer making have been wasted buying the app as to it does not continue or get upgraded it just goes away. Why did they not just put it into the SD and update it, this way they squeeze more revenue from their new developments, This causes me to be hesitant to purchase software. I have not asked AI I am asking the group. I loaded the program into my computer and it runs, so far I have not tried to do anything with it.

From what I looked at, it lacks features and probably requires version 7 of PHP which was new when Live Chat received its last update in 2016.

Also looks like it may require Adobe Flash.

It might work with flash player emulator 2026 running in chrome. But for online chat between multiple parties they would all have to be working on the extension for it to work I recon.

So I wonder if there really was an update in 2016 like I saw claimed on another site, since it can only use PHP 4.

Flash was used by many old CC programs such as Web Calendar, the original Web Form Builder, and Web Image Studio. Their interfaces were dependent on it. It just looked like this one may have also needed it, but that is based only on what its picture looks like.

I will see what I can do getting it to work in the next couple of months, will update progress on this thread. I think it said at least PHP 4 or above.
