No Table Element in RSD (or FF)?

I'm rebuilding a website in RSD that was originally built in RLMP and there are two pages that I used tables on when I built the site.

I just realized we don't have a table element in RSD or FF unless it's 'hidden' somewhere.

Without using a table what's the best way to create a 'table look'?

Thanks for any suggestions.

Ernie
I brought a table into both RSD and FF from RLMP (just copied it from the exported RLMP (includes all the data entered into the cells (for want of a better description) exported project and pasted it into html element within a responsive accordion (got from the web) that (set container to flex row etc etc,) seems to work a treat.

If you want to have a look see it working
thorgarage.com

Follow link to English version (unless you understand Indonesian, when next page opens click on the "5 Star Service"

the table is in the accordions to Engine Service Schedule etc

Scott and Wayan,

Thank you both for your input. I guess it's time I dive into Flex so I'll see how that goes.

I don't mind learning new things as long as there's not a lot of hair pulling. :D

Scott,

I've read through the link you posted and the way my brain works (very mechanical) the article is more of an overview than to actually build a 'table' structure.

I used to hand code tables in html back when they were popular. This is way beyond what I can do with out some kind of basic tutorial on how to get started.

Are there any other articles on flex in RSD/FF that will show how to build the basic structure for at least a three column 'table' like the article tries to explain? If I had that I can flesh it out to the amount of 'rows and columns' that are needed.

The article doesn't say anything about whether we can use subgrids or not, where the containers are added and whether they are nested or not. I can get the first container and settings but after that the 'hair pulling' has started.

Thanks for any help I have to go to that job I hate going to everyday.

Ernie, check out the flex tutorials that Mansour and myself have posted in the Break-room. They might be of help.

Did you download the example files? There are live demos in there that you can look at. The Interactive Guide goes through multiple approaches to building tables. You can look at the designs and how they were configured in RSD and use that to create your own.

Scott,

I did go through the interactive file. It just doesn't explain how to even start building a table with flex. I'm sure it's my brain that can't get what the article is trying to 'say'. But, I got it done without any more 'hair pulling'. :D

Mansour's video was all I needed to build my tables.

Mansour,

Thank you for the video it did the trick. I actually used subgrids and had the three tables built on the page and then came back in here and found your video using subgrids. So I figured out subgrids on my own but your two videos are a great resource and help. Thanks.

Great thread. What is the location of the example files mentioned? Thanks.
