...just wondering why it was a dropdown as part of the menu...

I have 2 drop down Menu points. The first one is the more important - 3 unfinished films where I'm looking for co production, agents, distribution.
The second Menu point is not so important - some ready films that are similar and give an insight into our kind of filmmaking. And for public to have some fun.
If the first Menu point is open, when the page starts - the 3 unfinished films are in the foreground - and if people are interested in them they might be interested in more - those films we have done so far... then they might find the second drop down menu point.

It is a bit sophisticated - but someone said people in the net only have half a second to decide, if they stay or go...

half a second is the time you have to make a good first impression, a few seconds more for users to then decide if to leave or go

Wayan - I just saw your Video - BTW nice page - but no - I don't want to pop up a message first and that can be closed by OK - sorry for my bad explanation - but I sent a Zip file where you might see how the menu structure should be and which menu point should be open...

With Foundation easy peasy

with frameworkless also fairly easy but lots more custom CSS / JS

So is that the same for every page? or just the first page?

Great - not yet sure but I think only for the index site - if you show me how I can decide later - so I'll stay with foundation...

Well, I've got something working: https://www.dropbox.com/s/vx4zejjycimwh … onent?dl=0

BUT, I don't think you will want to use it. To see it working you need to put it onto a body with say, 120vh height.

The menu has been made especially for 'same page' links and the dropdowns consist of the kind of dropdowns you find in forms. You find them in SD under Form Elements. That means you can't style them properly, as you can with 'ordinary' dropdowns. So I had to make the dropdown links fairly wide to get room for your film titles. But I don't think the look of it is very pretty. Also, the dropdown opens inside the menu bar, it cannot be given a z-index to come outside of it, or at least I haven't found any way to do that.

Ordinary dropdowns will be better, I guess. Now I will wait for Wayan's solution ;) before I delve into an alternative.

A good alternative, if all this fails, might be to make a 'cell' on your page to show the film titles, instead of having them in the menu.
Ha en riktig god dag!

That is as a very interesting option.
But you are right - I'd prefer if the Nav row would look the same all the time and only the drop down buttons would appear and disappear (and if possible reappear after scrolling back to top).
So the drop down container should somehow be seperated as it is when normally used.

In foundation have a look at the"accordion" component, that could be adapted quite easily, but I'm still struggling as to the why.

If the drop-down is sort of detached as you mention then why have it as a drop-down in the first place, just a container with the content as you want displayed placed directly underneath the menu woul do it, far more simple and probably a better users visual experience. You still have drop-downs in the menu which act in the normal way that users expect drop-downs to be

Yes I have thought about that – one might have a separate container with the 3 Links - scrolling away under the fixed Nav bar – but it wouldn’t be the same.

A menu is like a summary – an outline of the full site content.
But the menu button names mostly are very meaningless and only in submenus you get an idea what is going around. But they are hidden.
So I want a workaround – draw attention to the menu - the customer shall be directed to the menu through a meaningful content - when the submenu is opened in t´he beginning it is something different froom just one more container with just some more information.

Wayan, it would be great if you could show me the way… if it is time consuming I’d be ready to pay - just send me a note ergo-et-snafu.de
