I wouold like to make a menu, which has 2 drop down buttons.
One DD-button shall be opened when the page is started and shall close automatically as soon as the user starts to scroll. Option it can be manually closed.
When scrolled the Nav Bar with closed buttons shall stay fixed on top
I have a draft as *.doc table attached
Would such a thing be possible with SD ? And how ?
Thanks
Michael

Absolutely for the option to manually be closed, to have it close when the user scrolls would need some custom fancy is writing.

Fixing the menu to the top simply needs the menu element position "fixed" selecting and then adjusting the width margins etc accordingly. I believe Inger has a component example on her site, if not I may be able to dig out my video tutorial

Hi Wayan,
With absolutely you mean that I have to "define" the dropdown container with the SD-layout-postion-absolute ? Then it will be opened, when the page is loaded ? And can be closed manually ?
That would be an option for me.
Thanks

I think I might have misunderstood what you wanted to do before

I for one can't see why one would have a drop-down thingy open when a user lands on a page. It should be possible with some js though.

Hi Michael,

Last time we spoke you wanted to work in Bare-Bone (frameworkless), right? If so, you could take a look at this page: https://mock-up.coffeecup.com/va-comps/ … -menu.html .
Those menus were made with SD 3479, they stick to the top, and they have two dropdowns. Putting them into the middle is not a problem. The only thing I would need to find out is how to leave one DD open at the opening of the page. Let me know if you want me to do that.

Hi Inger,
You got it - I tried but I couldn't find - how can I leave one DD open at the opening of the page

Wayan - The reason is that I want the most important information just on top. It is not only a link but an information. Propaganda. Not behind a dropdown button. 2 flies with one button.
- the information is to long make directly a nav button with it. And in case someone knows what he wants he just can click only once and must not search and open anything.

Inger momentarily I intend to go on with foundation becauase I have some prebuild components from my older sites.

The same kind of menu for Foundation: https://mock-up.coffeecup.com/f-comps/f … -menu.html
But this one was built later, so you may not be able to open it. I can fix that for you, though.

Oh I just tried to import the component - it is indeed only for SD 3490 - but if it is easier to make the open submenu in the barebone version I could adapt all - I still have not begun....
(BTW "barebone" is in my eyes the much better name for this category)
