Some features I would like to use in my new Nav menu... can I do that with site designer and is it part of foundation or materialize or how should I go on - I'd like to build it as a component.
1- A Hamburger shall open by Mouseover - so that it stays open. Normal Mouse click can open it as well. Click outside of the menu can close the Hamburger again. Same will do a Click on the X.
2- .The horizontal Menu bar (desktop) will in smaller viewports become partially a Hamburger (for one or 2 Menu points only, the rest will stay a horizontal menu bar - depending on the viewport size.)

3- The hamburger opens on small viewports in a column over the picture = not pushing it aside – again you can close the menu column by clicking otside of the menu.

4, Not so important but a nice feature would be the animated X – the Hamburger becomes an animated X while opening - See the sample here = https://dafilms.com/film

I think you can do all of this with SD, and I'd say the Foundation system would be the easiest. I have never created quite such a complex menu myself, only some parts of it.

Hi Inger, thanks for your hint to foundation. I have a foundation menu - however I cannot find my most wanted feature - just tip outside of the open menu and it will close. I have a drop down menu that is hiding half of the mobile screen and it is fixed - so it would be nice if it could be easily closed just by touching the rest of the screen.
