I want to embed a m4a audio file into a page. I was told that if you embed a mp4 file that a simple audio player will show up . Having a few issues with that - I tried this a while back and got it to play but now it does not.

Is there a way to get a windows voice recorder file (format m4a) to play in a page?

I believe it is supported in the HTML 5 Audio element

use the html element and then insert your code:
see w3schools for examples
