moving from published files back to...

I don't have access right now (on the road, new computer) to my rsd file. I DO have access to my site on the S drive with all of the published files and resources.
Is there a way to get back to rsd from the published files so that I can make some changes?? I would like NOT to have to tweak individual html pages and then be out of sync when I get back to my master files.

Any ideas?? Thanks!

I am sorry, but no Sandy. Any changes you make outside of RSD cannot be imported back into it. All modifications must be done through RSD.

If you are doing some light modifications, just keep track of those so that you can add them to RSD.

So to be completely clear, I cannot go back to rsd even if I have made no changes -- correct. (As always thanks for you quick response, even if I would like another answer...)

I have been a fan of Coffee cup products since HTML editor in the late 1990's. I'm am being dragged kicking and screaming into the 21st century. Now, I have been volunteered to develop a web site for a chorus group. This is a two phase question. If I develop a site with RSD on my Mac, can it be edited by someone with RSD for Windows? Second part, if I turn over the web site to another member, who does not have RSD, can they take over editing with HTML products? I realize you just said it would not be able to return to RSD once published, but does it create special commands or anything that makes it rely on RSD for life? In Other words, could some tech savvy person continue to update the site content without RSD?

You sure can! Project files are cross-platform compatible.

You can export your website out of RSD and give them the website files. They can then use any code based editor to make modifications. But as you mentioned, you cannot go back to RSD and bring those changes back in.
