Just a thought on the Flash, I would stay away from that if you're wanting to stream videos or any content really on mobile devices. Although many do allow it, there are still a very large population of iPhone and iPad users out there that cannot utilize flash (or don't know how to do it using special browsers). This could limit your targeted viewers quite a bit.

Yes I'm hoping to just use mp4. I think most devices can play mp4 files these days.

Last time I checked Flash ( Media Server ) allows the streaming of MP4 and other format files... Please note I am referring to the Media Server not Flash as in SWF/FLV files :-)

Mark you are correct, most devices and modern browsers does allow the playback of MP4 files. Just know that if you are targeting older browsers you will need .OGG and .WebM files as well to compensate...

With a little customization you can get your videos to shrink as it goes down in size. See a website i did here
