Issues with iPad

Hello. Hoping someone can help me with this;

I have designed a new site for work using RSD. mirrorimageuk.co.uk/v2/index.html The background images seems to be working fine at all break points on the inbuilt preview window, Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Android Chrome, Android Firefox and Windows Mobile. But for some reason when I load up the site on an iPad, all the pictures zoom in to the point of not knowing what it is you are looking at. I've not tested this on an iPhone or Android Tablet yet.

Any help would be hugely appreciated.

(There is still some work to do on it, especially compressing the pictures. )

I don't have a solution, but there seems to be an issue with Apple mobile and tablet products when using large background images. They will simply just respample at different rations at different viewport sizes and then display the image even if it is out of scale with the page. I don't know the exact dimension limitations. I believe there is also a size limit.

So- once you compress the images, it will hopefully fix itself. Or at breakpoints, change the property to show an even smaller image than at larger breakpoints. www.irfanview.com/ is world renown for over a decade, and is free, and can redo the images.

Is the issue with zooming that you're having similar to this one in any way? If so, Adam responds to the zooming in issue on Apple products in this post. I know its a different product, but it may still be relevant.
