Is there a work-around for adding...

I'm a newbie with RSD and when I bought the software I foolishly didn't read the details of adding PayPal buttons into a website. I'm now stuck with software I paid for, yet according to the documentation only simple PayPal buttons will work, but not any that have drop-down menu's, etc.

I'm really surprised that this is impossible with software as powerful as RSD seems to be. I am hoping that maybe someone knows of a 'work-around' like cutting and pasting the code generated by PayPal's button maker, or any other ideas to try? In general, I unfortunately haven't been able to teach myself coding (mentally challenged I guess, in this respect) but need to find some way to capture input from an 'ordering' page without buying more software (one of the laid-off masses here in the US). Since I am unable to get a refund, I'm kind of in a difficult situation unfortunately.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

You simply place the code from paypal buttons that it generates for you, into an html element (available in the "elements tab) on wherever & whichever page you want it to be on.
You can also link a PayPal button, to the PayPal payment gateway that you set up.

here is a link to a short video showing a Paypal button embedded into a page of a dummy site I quickly knocked up as a demonstration

it needs a bit of fiddling to make it responsive for all device widths but as you will see, it's not too difficult

I also noticed that they have a new button that is for mobile devices & desktop, but it is just a simple button at the moment, not with multi choices or all that other gubbins

Well There Michael
You are welcome, & there are plenty of others on this forum who can -, do and are willing to help so don't be afraid to shout up if you get stuck, and please do before too much frustration sets in :D

Site Designer is a great tool for designing / building websites, but it is not really easy for beginners there is quite a steep learning curve, it does need a modicum of DESIGN knowledge, along with just a little bit of developing savvy, so that you can tell Site Designer what it is you want it ti do (not really coding(, as the app takes care of that for you, but enough knowledge to at least know what needs to be done and how to tell it what to do.

Embrace the challenges, shout for help when you need it, Enjoy the experiences.

The link isn't working. Did you remove your video?

sure did as Michael got it working. It was just an example to show it could be done not how to do it
