Is the Support System Working? - Post...

I tried to file a support ticket on Monday (3 different times) and again today, regarding the forum post I made on Monday "Upgraded to RSD 2.1 and VisualLightBox stopped working".

None of my attempts to get the support system to accept my submission ever got through... the spinning arrow on the browser (like it was uploading) never stopped, and my support account page has no record of the attempts.

I tried using 3 different browsers (Firefox, Chrome and MS Edge) and got the same result.

I would like to have my problem looked at, including the RSD files I tried to upload.

Sounds like you are trying to attach a file that is too large (max is 8mb). You should instead provide a link to that file.

However this particular issue falls outside of our support as VisualLightBox is not our software. You would want to either contact them or continue your discussion here at http://www.coffeecup.com/forums/respons … d-working/

This leads me to ask 2 questions:

1) This website was originally built with RLMP, continued to evolve through RSD up to RSD 2.0, and all the while the gallery add-in worked perfectly. Only this week, with the latest updates to RSD 2.1 did it crash... therefore, what changed in the innards of 2.1 compared to 2.0 and all the previous versions to cause this problem, and is it something that I can correct for?

2) If VisualLightBox is no longer compatible with RSD 2.1, do you have any suggestions for a photo gallery add-in that will work with this (and future) RSD versions?

I have several clients' websites using VisualLightBox, and need to keep them alive and well. I could always stick to RSD 2.0, but that seems like a dumb thing to do, and I don't want to re-do them all over again in BB or FF - I took a while to learn RSD, and love working in it.

RSD 2 is primarily using frameworks. Are you using the old CC framework? Bootstrap, Foundation? Have you hand coded a site using Foundation and Bootstrap setups to eliminate conflicts between lightbox and these frameworks?

Also consider that VisualLightbox is dead. Its no longer supported. In fact, on the webpage, just clicking on some links, or waiting too long or hovering, sends you to mobirise.com. Visuallightbox does not even want you on their website. The fact is - that site only exists as a fraudulent SEO trick to get people that used that software to go to the site, so the site autodirects users to mobirise. I suspect that is there is some sort of conflict that the creators of VLB never kept the app up to current standards.

Here is a "responsive" Visual Lightbox 6.1 using RSD 2.1 Coffeegrinder framework without the HTML element and using flex. Also added in optional SEO improvement.

I don't think its dead yet.....
Bootstrap 5 CSS Grid.

RSD2.1 using the coffeegrinder framework? How's that done? I even don't have that option when starting a new project? Furthermore ... the resources are available in the Resources palette, but they're not available in the preview folder? See screenshot ...

This (almost) seems like RSD files aren't cross platform exchangeable?

He must have started the project in 1.5. I've done this technique in a few projects by using the proper classes and or id's you can target your elements within your page avoiding an html element.
