I have been busy for some days, but when I got back to this thread, I see that everything has changed from Foundation to Materialize. Why is that? I'm thinking that it would have been better to stick to the framework that Stonecherub has to some extent got the hang of.

I also tried out that tool-tipster thingie that Eric posted, and it works fine with that wee exercise file I made and posted last week. I will also see if I can achieve something similar to what Twinstream posted just above here.
Ha en riktig god dag!

Another example.
I used jquery to place all the extra html content into the tooltips.

Inger;
I jumped on Materialize because it gave me a couple of very cool image handling tools. "Materialboxed," for instance, allows me to post a paragraph with a thumbnail attached that the reader can expand to a larger image to compare with what he reads. Another tool allows me to display a whole bunch of images of the same feature together in a group, each one expandable.

Alas, rather than using these tools, I find myself fighting with imageMapper and tooltipster functionality that I can never seem to get right.

Eric:
When I saw your post yesterday, I looked in Resources and did not find tooltipster, as you had noted, and promptly corrected the oversight. Learn something every day.

Upon reading your last post, I exported the project, looked in that folder, and there was tooltipster. I previewed on Edge and on Chrome, finding a resizable map without tooltips or links on both, just like yesterday afternoon.

I looked at your pumpkinpoo with the "developer tools" available in edge but did not find the html code, I found calls to scripts I do not have like outofview, and what-input. also no foundation but I'm using materialize

At one time I saw references to tooltipster variants, went to another window and cameback - gone! And I don't know how I got to see them or why they were gone.

I suspect you are sending me things that I do not/cannot see, due to my lack of experience.

Do you read the contact e-mails in ericrohloff.com?

Eric:

I just opened pumpkinpoo in Chrome, where I was able to look at your html. It is nothing like mine, there was no way in hell I was going to be able to do what you did. But with what I see now, I'm going to try.

I went looking for textpop to see what you had done there, but the link failed. You did all that work earlier and I never got to see it.

What lines make your image resizable?

I gave the html element a class of onehundred I gave the image in the image map a class of html-element and onehundred. Then in SD I set the html element to width 100%, max-width 1200px, height auto. left margin auto and right margin auto..
I can't hear what I'm looking at.

Could you please repost textpop so that I can take a look at that?

Hoping to put this monstrous thread out of its misery, my responsive image maps ALMOST work, but not quite. Yesterday, I re-read all of the posts, was amazed at my stupidity, took Inger's exercise in hand (because it worked), and started over again in Foundation this time. In an hour I had a working map that resized, had regular tooltips, and URL links.

Adding tooltipster as shown by Eric's pumpkinpoo, I got the more robust tooltips - very nice.

But, when I tried to port it to Materialize, something broke! Tooltips are formatted, URLs link, but the map is no longer resizable. I tried adding ImageMapResizer but that didn't work, either.

So close...
