When adding pictures to the resources "bin" it loads some of them sideways. The original is portrait format so I'm not sure why. Also, cannot find how to rotate so I can adapt to the error and still use the pictures that I want...

That is caused by your image missing its EXIF data. All you need to do there is open your photos in any graphics editor and save them. This will insert the EXIF data. Once you do that, re-add them back to RSD.
