How to change from photos to orbit

I have an orbit slider on the website I just finished. Unfortunately, I had to use really large (height x width, not ppi) photos to get them not to pixelate on the desktop site. I'm afraid that the large photos will take up too much data on a mobile connection. Is there a way to have just smaller static photos on the mobile site version, and not have the orbit slider kick in until it gets up to a desktop site version? Or would the larger orbit photos load regardless, making the point kind of moot? I like the effect of the slider, but don't want to waste limited bandwidth on mobile connections. Or, in the alternative, is there a way to use smaller photos with the slider across all widths, and not have them pixelate on the desktop version? I hope this makes sense. You can see the slider photos at the site: https://hendersoncountyart.org/featured.php . I was frankly pretty shocked at how large I had to make the pictures! :( I'd really appreciate any advice!

you can resize images and change them at smaller devices then again for medium and again for larger if you want

Well I took a look and to be honest you might be better considering using a reveal style gallery thing, that way your different size images will work better on a page.

I have an example here https://abarosa.sdv3tutorials.com
open the menu
select "ingredients"
"galleries:

"Wayans Modal Gallery"

mind you it would mean a litte bit of restyling for the page but it would look a lot better imho

Wayan,
You may have a dns problem, as the server https://abarosa.sdv3tutorials cannot be found.
It's there, but through: https://sdv3tutorials.com/albarosa
Eindhoven :: Netherlands

It's easy to see, once you see it.

I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

The other thing is that apart from having to scroll up and down to see the images that come into view (even on my larger size monitor), you have 6 images in the slider but only 4 navigation bullets thingies ( which could be confusing for some folk, as it confused me for a moment or two.

You really should add two more of those bullet thingies if you keep the slider

Really sliders are meant to have same size images in order to look good for your visitor viewing experience, having to go up & down scrolling, (& by the time I have gone up the slides have changed.

I seen image scrollers show the image count and only show like 4-6 bullet points then slide those also when you get past the ones showing.
