Going from iMac desktop to MacAir laptop

I'm wondering about making the transition from desktop to laptop when working in Site Designer. Is anyone else using a laptop? I downloaded the program to my laptop and it seems a little crowed working on a small screen. My current laptop is 13" so wondering if I should get their 16# laptop or stick w/my desktop.

That would be a personal preference but a 13 inch is small for designing in my opinion. I have some 24 inch at work to view on and that seems big but I only test on those and do all of my design work on a 17 inch laptop.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

Hi Carolyn
how about connecting the laptop to a larger monitor?
I have a 21" inch monitor which I can connect both my desktop & laptop, I find that size quite comfortable to work with using SD and it doesn't take too much room up (it actually is fixed to the wall so plenty of room on the desk for all the clutter.

13" sounds very tiny for working on web design. I'm using laptops, and my newest one has a 17" screen. My desktop computer is old and slow, but it has a 22" monitor that I'm using with the laptop as a second screen, and that is great.

Thanks everyone! Good to know others use laptops with SD and confirming my feeling that 13" is just too small. I'll find out what I need to connect a laptop w/a bigger monitor. Hopefully, I'd be able to use my iMac as a monitor. Thanks again. You are all such pros!

For designwork a larger monitor is much more comfortable. If your laptop supports 4k and you can afford it, buy a 27 inch 4k monitor. An excellent Samsung 27 inch 4k ips monitor can be ordered here in Europe for no more than 320 euro's (less than 380 dollar). Similar low cost monitors can be had starting from 275 euros.
My setup is a MacBook Pro 15 inch plus LG 27 inch 4K.
