Site Designer - Foundation 6.5.3 - Mobile First

I just completed a full re-write of my website. In my old version, I was able to mark a section so that no matter where else it was in the project, it would be updated (global update). It was especially nice for my menu and footer. I attached a picture of my elements tree. As you can see, there is an orange dot denoting that this section will update everywhere. I did not use the component function to do this. How did I do this?

Hi dianah
select the container (or whatever) that you want global as you put it, set it to be a "symbol"
(Elements tab, far right "Symbols"

then insert it as a symbol on every page that you want it to be on
