Hello

I'm sure its an easy fix but I can't get the url link to work when I use a supplied Social icon for facebook. Works fine if I change from follow to share but not on follow.

Thanks

Hi Byron, Thats because you cannot follow on facebook. You can like or share. Follow is for instagram, twitter, etc..

So what Facebook url can I use to share? Byron's page (nice one by the way) links to a FB page so folks can like it. I want viewers to be able to share it on their timeline. (btw, I really don't like FB!) Thanks, I'd be lost without this forum.

After googling & reading about java scripts, SDK, & other scary things I tried using just fb dot com and that takes you to a 'Share on Facebook' page where a url link can be added.

It's not exactly what I wanted but I'll take it!

What about using pre-made share buttons:

(there are other sites that do this, too)

Thanks, I looked for other sites as you suggested & found this Twitter page https://about.twitter.com/resources/buttons#tweet. Just tested the share a link button & the code works perfectly in RSD as an HTML element. No need to use the RSD social icon, it's all just html. Minor downside is there's no live preview on the RSD working screen but you can see it in the browser preview. The AddThis website requires logging in to get the free codes so I'll keep looking for sites that don't need login.

Here's another site I just found http://www.sharelinkgenerator.com/ for Facebook share links, Twitter "tweet this" links, Google Plus share links, LinkedIn share links, Pinterest "pin this" links. Free & easy to use as html elements in RSD, no JavaScript required.
