It has been a while since I first posted this but wondered if there has been any progress? What became a show-stopper for me with RSD was the inability to upload files to my server unless I signed up with S-Drive or used a 3rd party FTP program to manually upload. What I was looking for was an F4 facility as in the HTML editor where you can set up the address beforehand and then one-touch upload. I'd be happy to come back to RSD if this has been incorporated. Any news?

The HTML Editor and RSD are very different. Whereas the Editor poroduced html or css files that can be uploaded as they are, RSD has its own file format that cannot be uploaded directly, it has to be 'converted' to html/css files. That is what the export is for.
RSD files can be uploaded directly to S-drive, though, because the S-drive is managed and owned by CC, so that everything is controlled in order to accept the .rsd files and display them properly. Nobody can expect the same from all the other, different servers 'out there', and I'd be surprised if that will ever be possible.
