Embedding Video Elements and...
I'm just starting to use RSD and the most important thing for me at the moment is to place some videos on the pages.
I have seen the posts on embedding code from YouTube and that seems to work OK.
But I seem to be confused about the positioning. For example I want the video to remain centre of the page and scale when the page is resized in the browser or seen on a mobile, etc. I am currently using the Visions project as the basis because it has all of the elements set up to behave as a responsive site. It all works other than the video on preview always seems to be positioned left.
How do make the video stay centre page rather than be left orientated as it currently is?

Happy to help

CSS offers so many techniques for positioning that sometimes it's hard to see the forest through the trees. But, after you get used to it, it's really powerful!
I have not seen you project but I guess the element is displayed as a block (you can check this in the position section on the design pane). Blocks can be centered in their parent by setting the left and right margins to 'auto' (controls located under the dimensions section on the design pane). If this does not work, please make sure the parent (columns) stretches across the full page (column width can be managed on the layout pane with the 'span width' control).
There are many many

Great. I've managed to get the video to be centred now and remain in the relative scale that I wanted.
I'm sure I will have more questions. Thanks.

Sweet, happy you got it to work that fast

No problem, just let them come. The forums here are a great way to get help and learn from people that really have done amazing things with RSD.
A lot of the 'get started' type of questions are summerized in these tips: http://rsd.coffeecup.com/tutorials/tips/index.html
For everybody's convenience They will be included in V1.5 (release planned for early next week) as well.

Here we go again.
I cannot find anything to describe what exactly the options in Elements/Images/Picture 4X3, PIcture 3X2 mean.
I just want to place a jpeg of a logo I have made in the centre of the screen out of a black box at the top of the page. The logo is 1000px by 320px. So the logo image remains in the centre of the page regardless of browser scaling. Can I just drop the logo in on the 3X2 option, or does this replicate the image in the area.
I am an advanced Photoshop and After Effects user but I find some of the terminology used on RSD confusing.
Also is there not just a glossary type help which just describes all of the software's elements and features and what they do?

OK. I've managed to work out what I need as regards the picture placement, etc.
Some of the interface design is a little strange. For example there is no confirmation box or OK box
for when you change colours of text or background, etc.
I guess you have designed to software to work in a certain way bearing in mind the CSS code that its handling under the hood. I'm just trying to get use to your usage paradigm.

I've now got some simple text in a container but need an email link. ie. The last part of the text has a phone number and email address. I either want that text to be a link to activate an email client or is there another method to include an email link that will activate the users mail client on their respective platform.
I'm sorry about this. I must be a pain. I will stop posting like this. Its just that I've only just started using this software and I need to get something done really quite quickly.
I have sorted the email query by the way.

guladig, I have posted crazy question and then ended up answering them myself, and they haven't chased me away ....yet!
I love this forum, I spent a lot of time stalking before I asked my first stupid question, and have learned so much since then.
