Editing The Coast theme - problem...

Hi, maybe there is some simple way around this.

I was using The Coast as the template for a new site I'm building, using RSD 2.5.

This is so difficult though.

1. When the site is brought down to cell phone size, the top nav bar disappears completely (!). There is nothing I want less than for that to happen. This isn't my mistake, this is how it is in the template. The way I WANT it to look is the way the footer nav bar looks at the bottom. That is, the little links drop down next to each other and then into a column as the viewer size gets smaller. However, I have tried to duplicate, copy, paste the lower nav bar into the top nav bar, but it doesn't work. I've tried making a new row, and trying to put that at the very top of the page and that doesn't work either. Is there a simple way to copy the code from the lower nav bar and replace the code of the upper nav bar? Without me having to wait until the entire website is finished, extract it, then manually copy and paste the code in wordpad? What is happening to the nav bar and where is it going? I only want my logo in the central container and the nav buttons to remain visible, dropping down under it on cell phone screen size. However I can't find where they went to.

2. Replacing images. This again looks Iike I'm going to need to extract and copy/paste the code in notepad, as there are residual links to the original images in the code inspector. The very top image, which looks like a torte with strawberry syrup, has been a nightmare to try to replace.

I'm feeling very frustrated and upset with this program. :(

I no longer have RSD but if I remember the menu disappears at mobile to be replaced by a "Hamburger )3 Lines) thing which when one clicks on it opens the menu as per normal.

That way it doesnt take up so much room on mobile devices

at least that's what I remember, so are you saying the hamburger thing doesn't appear or work?

Sure enough
the menu at the mobile device width is opened by a hamburger type thingy or the title link "The Coast" which then swings down to reveal the menu items, which then swings back out of view when the user re-clicks the hamburger thing anywhere on the page.

If you have already replaced all that then it might need you to put the project file up here (zipped) so that we can look at it & try to help you back on track

The image that you refer to is a background image in the top "row" easily replaced , just select the row then in design view, slide on down to the section "backgrounds" there you will see the Url to the image, you can either choose another url, a local image which you have already got in the project, or delete the background image altogether up to you
