I'm trying to do a domain name verify, domain name ownership verify via DNS record select TXT (recommended) Copy the TXT record below into the DNS configuration for sobercert.com. This is not possible on this platform or I do not have or know where to find the applicable instructions.
google-site-verification=mQK_________________________________________ is the code that google provides for me to use for this type verification. I was able to do a verification with a url prefixed domain, but you have to do that for each one on the site whereas this domain name one covers them all. I hope that this is making sense. I view source code on some of the sites here and they do not have the google code in their headers on their home pgs so they are using the domain name verify maybe they are not using S-drive I do not know. Please help me with this or enlighten me upon the instructions to carry it out. Thank you. Or CNAME if that will be the method to use?

Greetings Gregory,
I have initiated the request to add the TXT record. Our domain partner, Network Solutions, will get that applied. It should only take about 24 hours to complete. Will keep you posted once it is done.

Thank you for the reply, I just read it at 0917 on Tues. morning. It is ashamed that I spent a couple of days trying to do it, only to find out that I can not do it. I think that I should post these comms up on the forum? Seems this would be useful info for people using the SD.

Does a guest posting on another old SD post cause this one to be bumped out of the notification que? I'm curious, do not know, would think that this post would surely get lots of responses.

Nothing posted in another thread will bump your poxsxt anywhere.

I, for my part, have trouble understanding how your question relates to Coffeecup. If Network Solutions is your domain host, it would be better to raise your questions with their customer service.

Attached image scrn shot of domain name verification. I was following google instructions they said to go to the domain name management and to txt install their code in. Turns out on S-drive you can not do that, so after I gave up and put in a trouble report then it all got done for me. What I can not understand is your attitude on this issue. Is it not good valid info for S-drive persons to be made aware of?

Having Google search validation for your websites
(Has no real effect in getting your website higher into to search engine results page's, when there are so many other factor's,(errors warnings, design issues) that stop your websites from being displayed within at least the first two pages.

The CC involvement in this wasn't mentioned in the post I replied to, hence my 'attitude'.

Ok so lets see if we can help get you a little bit further up the search engine results pages, by fixing the "CoffeeCup" menu "glasswith drop" component, which results in a Mixed Content error.

Your search engine results page (SERP) rating is adversely affected by mixed content problems. Mixed content—where HTTPS pages load HTTP resources—is viewed as a security concern and a bad user experience because Google prioritises secure websites. This results in poorer ranks, browser warnings for visitors, and diminished confidence.

Yes I know it's a readymade component that comes with Site Designer, and yes I know it's perhaps something that CC should be addressing, the team have been informed and I would guess that sometime whenever there is a further udgrade to the latest version of Site Designer, this will be corrected by them, but that would only be for the latest versions (which presumably you wont have)

So the issue here is the "Image" used as a background to the menu component. The link to that component is
url('http://www.coffeecup.com/images/screenshots/foundation-framer/ff-header-bg.png')
The easiest fix would be to change the background image to a locally hosted image in your resources.

step 1/ ensure you "Disable All Breakpoints" in the dropdown "TOGGLE BREAKPONTS"

step 2/ download the image file (PNG) attached save it to a location somewhere on your PC (NOTE this image is only 14 KB so not really necessary to optimise it, but is an optional thing if you want to.

step3/ Save the downloaded image file to your project resources

step 4/ return to the pages within your project, select the component "NAV-COL"open the " STYLES" tab and select the "Design" tab

step 5/ Open the one with the background .png and select the change Resources from the "Resources" URL dropdown to Local Image

step 6/ when the resources overlay thingy opens browse to the recently downloaded image and select it.
BOOM in goes that image which is the same as the url, so your menu still appears the same at all widths

STEP 7/ DO THIS on ALL PAGES WITH THE MENU

There you have it, the first of many eroors/warnings that you need address (in addition to having your websites "Verified"

There are still plenty of other things you need to do to ensure your website gets even a remote chance of appearing higher up the search engine results pages regardless of wether it's validated or not.

Next Step in Getting your website noticed and displayed on SERP's

WRITE YOURSELF A WEBSITE USEAGE POLICY,(or get a template custom made) (cookies, privacy, terms of use)

Google considers a website lacking appropriate policies (such a Terms of Service or Privacy Policy) to be unreliable, of poor quality, and possibly dangerous for visitors. This impression may result in noticeably reduced search ranks or, in severe situations, the website's removal from search results.

In addition Florida has additional requirements for business websites
Mandatory Legal Requirements
. Florida Information Protection Act (FIPA): Applies to any entity collecting personal information from Florida residents. It requires businesses to take "reasonable measures" to protect data and mandates specific breach notifications, often necessitating a data security policy.
. Florida’s "About Us" Law: Florida law requires businesses operating online to clearly disclose their physical address and contact information on their website (e.g., on the home page or contact page).
.Privacy Policy: If your website collects personal data—including names, emails, or IP addresses—you are required to have a Privacy Policy that explains how that data is collected, stored, and used.
.ADA Compliance: Florida websites must be accessible to people with disabilities. Failure to comply with ADA standards can lead to lawsuits.

Policy Components Required
1/ Privacy Policy: Must disclose what data is collected, how it is used, and with whom it is shared.
2/ Terms of Service: Necessary to limit liability, outline intellectual property rights, and set user rules.
3/ Cookie Policy: Essential for disclosing tracking technologies.
4/ Data Security Policy: Essential for compliance with FIPA breach notification requirements

NEITHER OF YOUR WEBSITES HAVE THESE policies (mind you some of your cometitors in Jacksonville (Beaches area) don't have either, so that gives you an advantage over them for search engine results if you do.

You should also have a cookie banner type of thing,, and before you say AGGGGH no it doesn't have to be intrusive, it can be friendly/humerus etc but it needs to give your visitors the option to accept or decline, (that way you are covered legally in the event of legal action.
