Hi all
Can someone please let me know if RSD V2.5 or SD V3.x can create categories in a website?

I have been looking/searching on this forum, CoffeeCup's website also through Google but can not find anything on creating web site categories using RSD V2.5 or SD V3.x

I would really appreciate some info.

Cheers
Franz

What exactly do you mean by 'categories'?
If you are thinking of being able to collect some of the pages in subfolders, that is not yet possible.

Hi Flagster,
What exactly do you mean by categories? You can put anything you want on a webpage. Do you mean sub directories?
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

And you are correct :D

I want to create sub directories.

I'll just have to edit the code in each page, then transfer them into their own sub directory.

Thanks for the info!!

Much appreciated. :)

Hi Flagster,

Are you thinking like a shopping cart? Where you can create category pages and then you assign the product a category?

If thats what your looking for RSD/SD will not do that for you.

Kind of ...I think.

I've been doing some research and it seems as if Google likes categories in your website structure for better organic search results (some might not agree).

Do you have plans to implement it in the future?

That is something you'll have to ask them directly about. We,the people who have been answering your questions here, are just users, like yourself.

Coffeecup currently has no shopping cart software any longer. From what I have heard in the past is there really is not plans to move towards that. As Inger mentions we are users such as yourself just volunteering our time to help others.
