I had a look at this new theme out of the box and was impressed viewing on my PC and laptop. Not the case when I had a look on an iPhone and iPad. Background video does not play and problem with width on the devices. Is this theme not meant for mobile, or IOS device? I would love to edit this theme for a website, so does anyone know if it is possible to get the background video working for an IOS device. Grateful for any advice.

Nothing to do with your question but that image thingy just made me drool is has been 28 years since I had a decent pint of beer I can't remember the name of the pub I frequented for John Smith's nectar but long ago memories.

I don't use Mac so can't help also don't have that theme. Good luck hope you get it working. I'm off back to my dreaming and drooling

Iv'e taken a look at this theme i think it has many resize anomaly many of the pictures are not showing correctly
i would suspect you would need to resize these to correctly work as to the video not playing on ipad sorry not able to test however it did show up on device preview so don't know what is going on there.

Scott, without having actually done any scrutinizing of the code in question, I know it is common for many sites that have background videos, to only display them for laptops upwards. The reason for this is that a video may be too tough on the band width capacity for mobile devices.

But I will check how it is created and then see if there is something else that might be off.

So, the creator of the theme Commons&Soons has been notified about the weird behaviour. He will work on it. But the video not playing on small screens is intentional, just for the reason I mentioned above.
