Since your current file has been made with coffeegrinder, my guess is, that you must once have started with RSD 1.5. And probably you have built your site the 'traditional' way, started with the wide view and narrowed the viewport as you went along. All the suggested frameworks are based on 'mobile first', so the conversion to either of them will be so that you need to work from narrow to wide.
I have converted myself from Coffeegrinder to Foundation, and it usually works fine, depending a bit on what kind of elements you have been using. If you have used subgrids, my experience is, that it might cause some problems, but others say that it goes ok.
Anyways, you cannot expect to be able to convert without any adjustments/changes, so I would actually recommend going for Foundation. The reason for that being that most of the people here are using it, so you may find lots of helpers in the forums, if you need it.
The newest framework here, Materialize, seems to be very good and it is becoming popular, but since we are all fairly new to it, we might actually need some help ourselves, to begin with, hehe! ;)

Then again, depending on how massive your site is, some people prefer to rebuild the site from scratch, because that might actually take less time than have it automatically converted and then get rid of the old, redundant code.

One thing I would recommend strongly, is keeping a backup copy of your initial project, just to be safe. And if you happen to have two computers, leave version 2.5 on one of them until you have got everything fixed in the new version.

Maybe not much help in what I'm writing, maybe I've just added to the confusion. I just wanted to let you know what you might be facing...

George, I have deleted your second post about this. It was in a wrong group, and cross-posting may only lead to double replies, and it is generally an irritation.

Thanks Inger. Materialize was the closest match for me. Only have to make a few minor adjustments. Fortunately 3.5 created backups for me. good thing.

My site is very small. We hardly get any traffic so didn't want to spend a whole bunch of time making adjustments.

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
