Perhaps I am doing something wrong, but, my class styles (once set) do not carry through all the break points. For example, I have a class to make a word bold. That word remains bold until I go to another break point. I look and the word has the correct class, but it is not set--no bold. Is there something I am doing wrong or will I have to set the class at every break point.

Where are you starting to set the classes ??? mobile first (left of smallest breakpoint first ) or desktop down(right of highest breakpoint)

Well there you go,,
You should be working from smallest breakpoint first (just left of it) upwards,, that way the styling holds

now you will either have to reset "All beakpoint" styling for that text style,,
or just manually set the styling for that text at all beakpoints
