Cannot add a component to a new project

I created a navigation component, using the Column as the "outer casing" and saved it to the S-drive. Using Foundation Grid.
When I open a new project (Foundation grid) and want to add the component, I retrieve it and it displays in the Components pane on the right, but I cannot add it to the page - the "+" to the left of the component name stays greyed out?
Please advise what I am doing wrong?
Thanks

Are you selecting a row/column to add the component to?

The Component is a Column.
I do select a column, but the + remains greyed out and inactive.
Thanks

Since a column cannot contain another column, I would be inclined to try selecting a row into which to place it.

Thank you.
I have tried selecting both the existing column & row, without success. The tutorial does say that if the component is a column, it will be inserted below the currently selected column??!!

I'm wondering whether perhaps an earlier version of RSD is being used than the version 2.5 (build 2425) which I'm using. If so, perhaps others will be able to help who remember any limitations of that earlier version regarding components.

Since the project file (.rsd) now includes the component, it may be that posting a link to it here will help someone to establish what is happening.

I usually do such posting by uploading the .rsd file to S-Drive and including a link to it within the post. Some people use DropBox or the like and include a link to that. It can also sometimes be accepted as an attachment if it is compressed to a .zip file.

If you have a really deep navbar (lots of nesting) and you saved as a column, you may want to save your component when the upper row is selected.
Bootstrap 5 CSS Grid.
