Can someone find why menu doesn't work?

I keep getting stuck here and then having to put it aside and then re-learning everything when I can finally get back to it. I followed this tutorial many times: https://www.coffeecup.com/help/articles … m-scratch/
The only things I've done different than the tutorial are that I have a picture/logo instead of "linked text", I've got a bottom border on my nav-bar container, and I've adjusted the margin on the picture/logo so that it hangs down out of the container, and I put a background color on my sub-nav container. Other than that I've followed the tutorial exactly as far as I can tell.

But when I preview it I don't see the nav-bar with my logo and hamburger icon at all. Earlier I did see it, but when I'd go to a wider screen the menu would go horizontal but it wouldn't replace the hamburger - it would stay below the nav-bar container. And in trying to figure that out, somehow now I can't even see the nav-bar when I preview it. It's weird that it mostly worked at first and now not at all.

In the tutorial, on wider screens the "My Site" stays there and the menu goes horizontal and comes up into that div replacing the hamburger. That's what I'm trying to achieve. I'm missing something and can't figure out what.

Chris, I opened your project file and took a look. It appeared that you are in the very early stages of creating the menu. Yes it did not function properly. I believe that the fastest way to get it to being right and good would be to pick one of the component menus and replace what you have with a component menu close to what you want then adapt it to suit you. Then you can copy and paste the component into all pages needed quickly. Plus you have it saved to use again later for other purposes. Or make the previous build menu into a component and use that.
The last time I redid my site I used a component menu and it really made things much easier https://workhorsepainting.com

Chris, I have not yet got through the whole of your menu, but one thing I noticed is that you have misspelled 'accordion' in an attribute. You're not the first one to do that! ;) Make sure the word ends in 'on', not 'an'.
Ha en riktig god dag!

Ok everyone, check it out now. More tweaks to go but I think it's solved!
I did what GregB said and used an already made Component Menu and then made adjustments. That's got it working exactly as I wanted! Thanks Greg!!!

Inger, I saw your response as I came back here to announce I had it working. That misspelling was probably the WHOLE problem in the first place! Thanks for catching that. I do that a LOT! I type too fast and then my eyes are bad so I miss most of my mistakes.

Thanks for the help!

Thank you for trying out my advice. You did this very fast, BZ... I looked at your second upload and it looks good, I like your saw blade Icon/trademark. Now it will be easy to get this on all of your other pgs.

Chris, I remade your trademark for you. Made the 1 by a 2x4 so the print could be made larger. If you think it is an improvement welcome to use. Is attached, I do not know how to put images in the windows here. I also made it fit the framing so I decreased the dead space in the image.

Not sure what others preference is but I like menus to open over content instead of shifting it down. If you set your
.top-bar .top-bar-responsive to width: 100% and position : absolute your menu will open over the top of your content. Site is looking good.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
