Button Links Not Working

Hi,
I have created a new site using the latest version of Site Designer V3. The site works as expected when previewed from the program. When I exported the site for posting, I first tested the it by clicking on the "index" file. It worked exactly as expected.

I then posted the site to my service provider. None of the button links work. I get the following message:
"Not Found
The requested URL /Creds.html was not found on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request."

All of the text links do work.

I have tried, twice, removing the files and replacing them. The button links just do not work. I thought that I may have to add the site address within the SD3 file, but cannot find where.

Any suggestions on what I am doing wrong.

Hi Vern,
Can you share a link to your site so we can see the issue?
How are you linking the buttons?
I can't hear what I'm looking at.

Hi Eric,

The site address is: www.yes-you-can.ca

To link the buttons I added the page reference to "Href" under the element section.

What is particularly frustrating is that the text links all work, and the site works under preview or from the file stored on the computer.

Thanks for replying,
Vern

Vern,
It's in your capitalization. ie...http://www.yes-you-can.ca/Tests.html does not work...but small "t" tests does...this is true on all that I tried. Links must match the page name...best to always use lower case IMO

Good luck.

Thank You Mark,

It seems so obvious. I guess I didn't check because the site was working in preview and from the stored file on the computer.

I am relatively new, so this was a great learning experience.

Windows isn't fussy about upper or lower case but a server is.

Vern,

Glad that was all it was. And...I learned that because it happened to me before. :)

These forums are a great resource.

Have a great rest of the day.
