Hi all~

I'm curious to know if I can use bootstrap and frameworkless for one single site project.
I'd be using bootstrap (or trying to use it) inside another folder within the website?

Thankz

Of course as long as you keep all the exported files in separate folders within your main pages project file.

Example pages for product1 made with Bootstrap are exported to a folder. The complete exported file is then placed in the resources of the main project and all relevant links made backwards and forwards etc.

Try this as an excersize

Open Site designer (any framework) open one of the templates for yhat framework
save it,
open another template in a different framework ,, export it,,

open the first project and bring in the exported files for the second project into your resources,, edit the links etc

export that again, and have a look using any browser you choose.

Normally having different pages using different frameworks can cause a few problems, especially with consistency with design,
There can also be complex maintenance challenges:

Updating and maintaining different frameworks can be more time-consuming and error-prone than working with a single framework, and should the project have to be passed to another developer (for whatever reason that maybe,, PHEW what a headache that would be for the new developer to inherit)

There is also a Performance issue:
Integrating multiple frameworks can increase the overall bundle size and potentially lead to slower page load times if not managed carefully. 0

Final Thought from me (and is only my thinking (others may differ no problem)

Please allow me to be a bit of a sceptic here.

I have explained earlier how I built the component collection using more than one framework. I never thought of popping the folders for the 'child projects' into the resources of the 'mother project'. I always kept them separate when working with them. When uploading, I uploaded the mother project directly from the SD. The child projects were exported and uploaded with DFTP. I think that, with five different child projects, this method would be the only way to keep my brain cool and my eyes straight, and not confuse anything. Putting one into the other may possibly work with just one child project.

Be sure to avoid one thing: Don't rely on changing/adapting things after export. Next time you export, the changes will be overwritten, and you will have to do the same changes after every new export. That will soon become a pain in the whatsit!
