Auto Placement for IE10

So am I correct in understanding that I cannot use auto placement for IE10 and should position everything instead ?

Struggling with the fallback for IE 10 or 11 to keep from stacking....
Bootstrap 5 CSS Grid.

I'm not sure whether this article by Rachel Andrew is stll applicable regarding IE10/11, but it may be helpful.

I found out I was trying to design css grid in the fallback first "Design For" setting. I assume that "Fallback First" is the default for import reasons or that is what we start designing in before powering up to grid. Once I am using a least two support queries, Grid and Fall back, I can design according. Thanks for the link....it was informative.
