well if you haven't yet used SDv3 then it doesn't matter what has gone into the latest version, too many things to say about the number of additions/changes/fixes
download the latest version & have at it there are videos about using Site Designer (I don't know where they are so can't point to then) & there are other forum members too that can help if you get stuck, as Inger says "Just Holler" & we will try to help as best we cn

Thanks so much Wayan! I was an ambassador back in the day on the old school "VSD" and helped newbies figure out the software, but I took a little break from web design and now i'm starting over from scratch learning the new generation of software. Your help today is much appreciated.

Now Chad is not the only one curious. What has changed? It is 4 days after it was released. I just downloaded the update and I don't know.

While I'm on the subject of site designer, does anyone know if this new gooly mooly theme that's on sale today is for SD or RSD? The themes page says RSD, but I thought RSD had been retired. I would buy the theme if I knew what program it was for....

If you mean the new e-commerce theme that was announced in a mail a couple of days ago, that is for SD3. It is built with CSS Grid, and RSD is not capable of doing that. I think some people, some CC staffers included, are still mixing the programme names up a bit

OK, thanks for the clarification! Because as you can see the email explicitly says responsive site designer. If even staff are confused then everyone is confused. Why did they choose such similar names?
